Most of the photographs on the Past Image Photography website have been taken with modern cameras (film and digital). Such cameras are increasingly easy to use but we wanted to explore how the period photographers worked.
As most of modern reenactment seems concerned with warfare, this is a series of pages briefly exploring the development of war photography from World War One, through the Spanish Civil War to World War Two.
There is also a small series of photographs of modern re-enactment taken with period cameras.
These pages have been compiled by Malcolm Atkin. See www.mwatkin.com for further details.
